5-Fluoro PB-22

Synonymous to 5-fluoro QUPIC, 5-Fluoro PB-22 is a derivative compound of PB-22 with a flourine atom at the terminal carbon of the pentyl chain. This white crystalline solid has a molecular formula C23H21FN2O2, CAS 1400742-41-7, formal name 1-(5-fluoropentyl)-8-quinolinyl ester-1H-indole-3-carboxylic acid, formula weight 376.4 and IUPAC quinolin-8-yl 1-(5-fluoropentyl)-1H-indole-3-carboxylat

Also called PB-22F, 5-Fluoro PB-22 is a synthetic cannabinoid and discovered to be an agonist of the cannabinoid receptor producing sedating effects closely similar to the effects of cannabis. However, little information is published on the pharmacological and toxicological properties of this compound in scientific literature, making it a good research chemical to research and test by scientists and chemistry students for its potential uses.

It contains an N‐alkylindole moiety, only that its naphthylacyl group is substituted by a quinolinyl ester. While insufficient data has been published of this compound, other research scientists, based on lab testing, discovered that it can slowly degrade when kept at room temperature through transesterification. For best results, they suggest using aprotic solvents or Acetonitrile with this structural type of compound.

A short discussion from Chems R Us, ‘Devourer’ asked ‘MrSoul517’ what the major differences between 5F- and regular PB-22 were. The latter answered that the only main differences were potency and duration, wherein 5F- worked a little more intense and lasted 10 to 15 minutes less than the regular. Another difference noted was that he was sweating coupled with nausea due to intentional overdose on 5F, something he did not feel on regular PB22.

Another experience was from ‘fourtysevenpercent’ (dosed, +-3mg; immediate effects, less than one minute; peak duration, less than 20 minutes; and come down between 45 and 85 minutes) of Drugs Forum where he reported a mixed review of the compound. For positive effects, he noted an uplifting high like that on 5F-UR-144 and stoning at the same time (something lacking on 5F-UR-144), while noted of red eyes, slight but manageable paranoia and cotton mouth for neutral effects. Bad effects included headache after 45 minutes (and bet the compound would cause anxiety if taken at higher doses). He compared it with AKB48 that was more forgiving for sparing him the headache.

*Average pricing is £7.50 per 500 mg.
