5-MeO-MiPT

5-MeO-MiPT (5-methoxy MiPT) is a crystalline form research chemical belonging to the psychedelic tryptamine family and is closely similar to N-methyl-N-isopropyltryptamine. It is discovered to inhibit the re-uptaking of monoamines norepinephrine and serotonin, but it does nothing to the reuptake of dopamine. In a study, it does nothing to the monoamines release from brain synaptosomes of rats.

Its formal name is 5-​methoxy-​N-​methyl-​N-​(1-​methylethyl)-​1H-​Indole-​3-​ethanamine;  IUPAC, N-[2-(5-methoxy-1H-indol-3-yl) ethyl]-N-methylpropan-2-amine; molecular formula, C15H22N2O; CAS 96096-55-8; formula weight, 246.4; and purity, ≥98%. When stored at room temperature less than 20C, it can last up to two years

The substance is used for its hallucinogenic and psychedelic properties as well as for its entheogenic effects. When smoked, it produces psychedelic effects within 20 minutes after dosing, with duration lasting from four to six hours at a dosage between two and 15 mg. Users who want to feel the high almost immediately, they smoke it feeling its effect lasting up to two hours using 10 to 20 mg.

Its pharmacodynamic and structural properties are the same or similar with that of MiPT, DiPT and 5-MeO-DiPT and in some cases Moxie or Moxy, other names for this research chemical, is used as a replacement for Foxy Methoxy (5-MeO-DiPT) because of their almost similar effects and structure.
